Now entering its eleventh year, the annual event takes place half a block north of the Mimico GO Train stop. The festival centers on the unveiling of twenty-five four-foot tall tulips which are painted annually by various community groups and school children in the area. Each with its own colourful theme.
The Mimico Tulip Festival is a great community event that provides a way to get out and meet the everyone. It also offers plenty of fun, food, music and entertainment for every one with jumping castles, rock climbing, face painting, balloons, carnival games and prizes. Police and firefighterss are also part of the festivities and help with general and children’s safety information.
