One knows that summer is finally here with the arrival of 5 outdoor Farmer’s markets in Etobicoke. What a great opportunity to pick up fresh baked goods, meats, home made jams, fresh fruit and vegetables from local farmers.
Everyone looks forward to Ontario Strawberries which are currently in season. A neighbour was just telling me this morning that she has made her Ontario Strawberry jam!
I look forward to fresh Ontario peaches in late August, which are vine ripened, juicy and so sweet. Then there is nothing like the sweetness of Ontario peaches and cream corn picked that morning!
Mark these weekdays on your calendar and be sure to check out a local farmer’s market.
